How to Use Ambient Noise

1. Find and preview a sound

Browse the themed sections on the main screen. Use All, Free,Premium, or Favorites to narrow the library. Tap a sound row to open its continuous player. Touch and hold a sound or an existing mix for a quick preview; the vibration confirms that the preview has started, and releasing stops it.

2. Listen to one sound

The individual player starts the selected sound. Use the bottom controls to adjust volume, pause or resume, set a stop timer, favorite the sound, or add it to a new mix.

3. Select sounds for a mix

Tap the + beside Settings on the main screen. Round selection controls then appear beside the sounds. Select at least two different sounds and use the bottomCreate mix bar to open the editor. Tap the top button again when you are done selecting, or use the × on the bottom bar to discard the current selection.

4. Arrange and save the mix

The round sound field shows each layer around the central Play button. Drag a sound icon around the circle to change its left/right placement, or choose Arrange evenly.

Headphones make direction easier to hear. If iOS Mono Audio is on, the app warns you because Mono Audio combines left and right into the centre.

Tap a sound icon or its row to edit that layer. Volume affects only that sound. For selected short texture sounds, a Pauses between repeats slider is also available; other sounds remain continuous. Name the mix and save it.

5. Play, edit, or delete a mix

Saved mixes appear in Your mixes at the top of the main screen. Hold a row to preview it, or open it and use the centre button to play. The bottom controls provide a stop timer and Edit. Editing requires confirmation; you can then rename the mix or change its layers. Swipe left on the main-screen mix row to delete it.

6. Hide sounds you do not want

Swipe left on a bundled sound and confirm Hide. Hidden sounds remain usable in existing mixes. Restore one or all of them from Settings → Hidden sounds.

7. Add your own audio

Choose Add your own on the main screen. You can record a loop, choose an audio file through the system Files picker, or paste a direct HTTPS link to an audio file. Preview it, name it, and save it. Use the pencil beside its title later if you want to rename it. Swipe left on its main-screen row to delete it.

Audio is copied or downloaded directly into on-device app storage. Ambient Noise does not send it through an SK95 Engineering server. Only download audio you have the right to use.

8. Listen in the background

Playback can continue while you use another app or lock your iPhone. Use the system Now Playing controls to play or pause. Calls, Siri, alarms, and audio-route changes may interrupt playback.

9. Optionally sync supported data with iCloud

In Settings → iCloud, turn on Sync with iCloud to keep your theme, appearance, favorites, portable saved mixes, and metadata for direct-link downloads consistent across your iOS and iPadOS devices. Audio bytes never sync. A direct-link sound can appear on another device and ask before downloading again; microphone recordings and Files imports remain only on the device where you added them.

10. Unlock and restore

The free download includes a selection of sounds. The lifetime purchase unlocks every bundled sound—including future bundled additions—with one payment and no subscription. To recover an existing purchase, openSettings → Restore purchase while signed into the Apple Account that bought it.
