This Privacy Policy explains how SK95 Engineering handles information when you use the Ambient Noise iPhone app and this website.
Summary
Ambient Noise does not require an account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking. The app does not upload your recordings, imported audio, saved mixes, or preferences to SK95 Engineering.
Information stored by the app
The following information is stored locally in the app's container on your device:
- Audio you record in the app
- Audio files you choose to import
- Saved mixes, including names and per-sound settings
- Your current draft, theme, appearance, and playback-related preferences
This information is used only to provide the app's features. Ambient Noise does not provide account-based sync or app-operated cloud storage. You can delete individual recordings and mixes in the app. Removing the app from your iPhone normally removes its local app container, subject to Apple's device backup and restore behavior.
Microphone access
Ambient Noise requests microphone permission only when you choose to record your own sound. Recordings are saved on your device. You can deny or revoke microphone access in iOS Settings; the bundled sound library and file-import feature do not require microphone access.
Files you import
When you choose a file through Apple's system Files picker, Ambient Noise copies the selected audio into its on-device storage so it can play the sound later. The app does not upload the selected file to SK95 Engineering.
Purchases
In-app purchases are offered and processed by Apple through StoreKit and your Apple Account. Ambient Noise receives the purchase entitlement needed to unlock features; it does not receive your full payment-card details or Apple Account password. Apple may provide developers with sales and financial reports under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
Data collection and sharing
The current version of Ambient Noise does not transmit personal data or app usage data toSK95 Engineering or third-party advertising or analytics services. We do not sell personal data. If the app's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before or when those changes are released.
This website
This is a static website and does not use account registration, advertising, analytics scripts, or marketing cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process standard technical request information—such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and security signals—to deliver and protect the website under its own privacy terms.
If you email support, we receive the email address and information you choose to include. We use that correspondence to answer your request and maintain support records as reasonably necessary. Do not send private audio unless you intentionally want us to inspect it.
Children's privacy
Ambient Noise is not designed to collect personal information from children. Because the app does not operate accounts, analytics, advertising, or app-side data uploads, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app, website, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the version currently in force.
